The eseia ISS 2016 on Novel Development in Biorefineries will take place at LNEG, the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology in Lisbon, Portugal from 18 – 29 July 2016.
The eseia ISS 2016 programme aims to cover fundamental aspects and to reveal solutions in the quest for innovations in the biorefinery framework converting underexplored biomass into biofuels and chemicals. Top scientists and practitioners from science and business will give the participants insights from a policy, socioeconomic, design and technology angle. The ISS 2016 programme consists of two weeks. The first week is dedicated to lectures, interactive workshops, knowledge assessments and end of the day discussions with the trainees on particular aspects of interest to their own projects. In the second week, participants may choose from a variety of practical and experimental courses.
The summer school is part of the two master curricula developed in the BET project, but is open for students from other Higher Education Institutions and actors from industry and the public sector as well.
