The programme “Bioresource Value Chain Management” is a specialization of the master programme Sustainable Energy Technology (SET) at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. The SET-BVM program will be multidisciplinary and focused on bioresource value chains as object of study. Resources, technologies and economics are not studied as independent topics, but as specific features and characteristics of Bioresource value chains. The program will approach the bioresource value chain from four different angles; namely the bioresource value chain:
- as a flow of biomass resources
- as a network of interconnected technologies and products
- as a flow of economic transactions
- optimization and innovation
These four different angels have been elaborated in four modules in the first year of the project, while the second year will be focused on the specialisation for Bioresource Value Chain Management.
